Our mission is simple: for every product purchased, we donate to help communities thrive. From advancing cancer research and providing domestic abuse support to combating homelessness, honoring our veterans, promoting racial and social equality, empowering under-resourced youth, improving education, and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community, together, you’ve helped us make a lasting positive impact on communities worldwide. And that impact is worth sharing.
This year, we donated over $29M in products and funds to over 550 nonprofit organizations across the country. And we couldn’t have done it without you.
Here are a few highlights from 2023.
Our Bigger Than Beauty™ Family is Growing
An essential part of our mission, our Giving Partners are the vessels through which we impact communities around the world. In 2023, we grew to 550+ Giving Partners in all 50 states, adding 41 NEW nonprofit organizations to our movement. Each organization we work with connects with thousands of individuals locally and beyond—extending our support from right here in Los Angeles and Seattle to communities nationwide.
Among other causes we donated to this year, we were proud and grateful to support:
Maui Wildfire Relief
In the devastating aftermath of the Maui Fires, Thrive Causemetics® and Bigger Than Beauty Skincare® partnered with three local organizations to support our Maui family. With your help, we donated $35,000 to Women Helping Women Maui, Maui Farm, and the Maui Humane Society and supplied $2,000 worth of emergency relief items to those affected by this tragedy.
Brightening Lives with Girls, Inc.
In partnership with The Marvels, Thrive Causemetics® released an exclusive makeup kit to support Girls, Inc. Together, we donated $15,000 to the organization, which supports programs like Operation Smart that foster young women’s enthusiasm and expertise in STEM fields.
For Mother Earth
Our mission extends beyond empowering communities to look and feel their best. With the launch of Bigger Than Beauty Skincare®, we vowed to continue creating products that are as good for you as they look while simultaneously having a positive impact on the world around us. Since launch, we have reduced plastic use by 40% through our dermatologist-recommended, vegan, cruelty-free products, reaffirming our commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable future for all of us.
And we didn’t stop there. As an official 4Ocean Certified Cleanup Partner, we have facilitated the removal of 20,000 pounds of plastic from our oceans through a series of impactful beach clean-ups at Venice Beach, CA, and Golden Gardens Beach, Seattle, WA. Responsible stewardship of the environment is part of our ethos here at Thrive Causemetics® and Bigger Than Beauty Skincare®, and these steps kicked off a greater company-wide effort to focus on eco-friendly packaging and sustainability across our product offerings.
